Do What You Love: Conquer From Within

One of the best parts of having a blog is getting to meet so many successful, innovative and motivational people. Thank you internet!

One such person is Anshu Tiwary. A fashion blogger and art therapist who has created a name for herself in a relative short period of time. She caught my attention the moment she told me how she has made a living out of something that makes her happy every day - and undoubtedly she will catch yours. Have fun!

A bit about Anshu...

She studied a MAS media communication master and worked as a copywriter for a Radio station. Two years later, her life took a different direction. Life happened, meaning the unexpected, and she focused on holistic wellness. Thanks to this new interest, she became a certified Ashtanga yoga trainer, and made a living out of her passion.

Beside holistic wellness, she has always been into in fashionInterestingly to me, Anshu wanted to go a step further, and besides following fashion trends, she wanted to create her own style and statements. Thus, she gathered the courage to start blogging and go public about her passions, which gave her the opportunity to focus on what she loves most – fashion, holistic wellness, coffee and chocolate.

The internet world is extremely huge, and therefore, competitive. For this reason, being successful when starting a blog later on in the game, can be quite challenging. However, what I liked most about Anshu is that she has her priority clear, happiness.

Bellow, Anshu shares a few thoughts she has learned along the way.

Learn As You Go

We all have sort of an idea of what we want to achieve in life, however, deciding what we want to do for a living is far from being easy.

For me, this whole realization didn't come overnight. After finishing my master and working in the radio for two years, certain things happened, and my life took a different direction. I felt like new adventures where calling me. Putting myself out there was the hardest part, the rest went smoothly.

When starting, you are at the bottom, that's why you have to fight to find balance and courage to go up. At the beginning nothing can go wrong, the only way is up.

Invest Your Time Wisely.

There is a lot of investment when trying to make a success out of what you are doing, not only money , but time, which is one of the biggest investments. At some point, when I wasn't getting the kind of feedback I was looking for, I questioned myself if it was worth investing my time on it.

I realized that time is something we are not getting back, so we should spend it on something we really enjoy, something that really makes us happy. Although doing what makes us happy can take more than doing an obligation, it pays off a million of times more, so no matter what feedback you are receiving, if it makes you happy, go for it.

Conquer From Within.

When starting something new, everything is all over the place, you have so many ideas to put into practice, and you simply don't know where to start. When this happens, I usually take a step back, and remember why I am doing what I am doing.

As long as your priorities are clear, everything is sorted. The moment it starts creating stress is because your priorities are not clear, so take a deep breath, and try your hardest to make your passions stand out. Try keep getting better doing what makes you happy and move past your comfort zone.

Trusting Yourself As An Art Form

My first piece of advice is to try not to compare yourself with anyone. Everyone is different, what works for some does not necessarily have to work for others.

Of course I do look after different people, but I believe you are your best teacher, no one is really doing what you are doing, you have to figure out your own way and let your gut guide you. Instead of trying to get ideas from somebody else's work, try to come up with your own.

Not everyone is going to like the result, but you always have to take into account that you are doing it for yourself, because it makes you happy, so other's feedback shouldn't let you down. There is always going to be criticism, and you are not always going to get the kind of encouragement you are looking for, but that should only make you stronger.  Chanel that self doubt and keep improving yourself.

(That's so true - Sometimes we let criticism win, and that only holds us back from achieving our dreams. Sometimes we just have to take small steps, and if those steps are leading us to the right direction, they will end up being the biggest steps of our life.- Sara)

Those are my top pieces of advice. In the mean time, keep doing what you love.
